Benji Packs For A Purpose, You Should too!

I love to travel. In fact, some months I think I spend more time in airports and hotels than home.  I used to pack and only thought of what I needed, but now, I'm packing with a purpose!

Have you ever traveled overseas and wished you could do something to give back to the communities you visited? Often travelers don't come anywhere near packing their full weight allowance for baggage. Now there's a way you could use the extra space in your suitcase to help others.

Pack For a Purpose is a non-profit organization that identifies community-based projects all over the world in need of basic supplies. What kind of supplies? Everything from medical items like band-aids and thermometers to school supplies like pencils and notebooks to games, jump ropes, and soccer balls. There's even a wildlife conservation project in Kenya in need of sleeping bags and binoculars. Just five pounds of your baggage weight limit can mean 400 pencils or 5 deflated soccer balls or a stethoscope, blood pressure cuff and 500 band-aids.

All you have to do to help is go to their website, locate a project at your destination and see what they need, pack as many supplies as you want to donate, and drop them off at a participating hotel or resort when you get there. It doesn't matter whether you're staying there or not, just drop the supplies off at the front desk and the staff will make sure they get delivered to the project coordinators.

I'm so excited about this very practical way to help that we've decided to partner with Pack For a Purpose. MorrisCore will be donating web development services to help this awesome organization get the word out to everyone. I can hardly wait till my next trip abroad.

If you'd like to participate, check out all the cool projects you can help with by visiting www.packforapurpose.org.
