14 Tips to Nail Down Demographics gives the business world advice on where to begin when researching your customers.
Benji shared his expertise in online marketing with this piece of advice:
"We often need to identify the viability for a company to grow online. A common resource we use as a 'first look' research method is a free tool offered by Google called the Keyword Tool. This tool allows you to get an idea of how often someone searches for a certain product, service or general search term. Most importantly, you can see how competitive that market is online. Most people look at a competitive market as a bad thing because of the barrier to entry. However, with online marketing, we like competitive spaces because we know there is money to make, and we are great at what we do."
